R&P Cares

Rosenberg & Parkers cares…a lot. Our staff have big hearts, they like to make a difference in the community and everyone has a cause or two that matter to them. Throughout my 14 year tenure at R&P, I’ve participated in canned food drives, pet supply collections, Toys for Tots donations, and list goes on and on.

As the company has grown, the number and variety of causes that have been brought to all of our attention have grown as well. To help formalize a process to would allow the staff to shine a spotlight on charities and those in need, in 2019, Rosenberg & Parker created the R&P Cares Committee.

This volunteer committee was formed in order to identify, organize, and help the company participate in charitable endeavors, including raising money for a wide variety of causes that correlate to national awareness months. Members also find local and regional charities and causes to which anyone on our staff can donate money, time, and/or items. R&P Cares holds regular meetings to organize monthly causes to bring the entire company’s attention and solicit donations. The company regularly matches employee donations to amplify our impact for the cause.

At R&P, our inspiration starts from the top down – our leaders really do lead by example. CEO Matt Rosenberg has been on the Board of Directors for the SEPA Chapter of the American Red Cross for over 15 years and has been actively involved in fund raising for Philadelphia’s one-of-a-kind Red Cross House, which serves displaced families in the greater Philadelphia area.

COO Chad Rosenberg has been a member of Rotary for over 30 years and has been involved with the Rotary Youth Exchange program, creating the annual Rosenberg & Parker Aim for Exchange Sporting Clays Tournament in 2008, with all proceeds benefitting Rotary youth exchange students.

And when natural disasters strike, it’s natural for R&P Cares to want to get involved. So this winter, when Texas experienced blizzard-like conditions and suddenly had clean drinking water shortages, we knew we wanted to help. Rosenberg & Parker donated to World Vision, whose WASH (clean water, sanitation, and hygiene) campaign has helped to provide 3.4 million people access to clean water. R&P also made generous donations to the American Red Cross and Rotary, two organizations who deal not only with natural disasters, but with the crisis of clean drinking water across the globe as well. We also chose to highlight these organizations in our marketing campaign for RIMS in April (check out our jib jab videos elsewhere in this newsletter!) to raise awareness for these causes.

While we’re in the business of surety, you know… making guarantees, we know that nothing in life is REALLY guaranteed. We know that for some, uncertainty is a constant. We know that while all of us have our own challenges, we are fortunate to be in a position to give back, be it a lot or a little.

And that’s what R&P Cares is all about.
